You would think that if they don't have to do much to them, that it shouldn't cost them so much.

The only way to battle some of this is to grow your own produce when you can, if you can. Go to farmer's markets too, I guess. We have not had a garden in years, but when we did we canned our own tomatoes--food tasted so much better, and we knew what went into them and what didn't.Lorelei Bellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03294047277447613989noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1174503107986637805.post-66101998177777317622012-01-30T23:05:28.855-08:002012-01-30T23:05:28.855-08:00I'm cheesed off that processed foods are so mu...I'm cheesed off that processed foods are so much cheaper than real foods. So many things I couldn't eat and me with pregnancy cravings! I remember when Kellogs said they were lowering the sugars in their cereals. They truly didn't lower them much at all. I can't live without my Fruit Loops.Christine Rainshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08263694662585963900noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1174503107986637805.post-74115732865724806482012-01-30T15:10:49.839-08:002012-01-30T15:10:49.839-08:00Yeah, Nellie, to us too, but when they had the sug...Yeah, Nellie, to us too, but when they had the sugar in it and no fructose, it tasted like it had always when we were kids. But I'll be on the look out from now on and see if they didn't sneak it back in. I use the olive oil one, and it's w/o fructose.

Miranda... do you really? Well, I can see your point, then fewer people would eat it, right?

Emily--no one should have to go through what you did. I can't blame you one bit for being angry about that.

Halloweenman666, I have not drank pop in years, and then I found out that the only soft drink that has SUGAR in it is Siera Mist.

The reason we avoid high fructose corn syrup is because your body does not use it like it can sugar... it is NOT a natural sweetener, it is highly processed--in fact it is made in a lab. Thus the calories that are taken in do not go to energy--it goes straight to fat. I do believe some day someone will prove it is causing diabeties, and it already is causing obesity in this country.

And that's my gripe for today. Thank you all for stopping by and sounding off.Lorelei Bellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03294047277447613989noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1174503107986637805.post-4584567580132400792012-01-30T10:17:30.064-08:002012-01-30T10:17:30.064-08:00My pet peeve is the inclusion of artificial sweete...My pet peeve is the inclusion of artificial sweeteners. I do still eat and drink things that have it in there, but try to avoid it if possible. I'm not even really a fan of things such as stevia after having read some of the conclusions based on research done on these types of sweeteners. But like I said unless it's natural sugar it's hard to avoid, especially when you're addicted to pop like I am!Halloweenman666https://www.blogger.com/profile/05771133226421794487noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1174503107986637805.post-66313446367397828282012-01-30T09:52:30.018-08:002012-01-30T09:52:30.018-08:00The other day I actually told off a stranger on th...The other day I actually told off a stranger on the phone. She answered the phone for the manufacturer of our fridge. She was trying to send me in circles, again, telling me to call someone else. I say, I've already talked to them (again) and they want me to contact you (again). So when I asked to talk to a manager because I'd had a week of this wild goose chase she tells me I don't know what I'm talking about. Well then be helpful and do something about it! sheesh.

Okay I'll calm down now....
:)
Oh, and I'm drinking chocolate milk and eating frosted flakes with strawberries.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03308347645723660613noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1174503107986637805.post-49411052777921807912012-01-30T04:37:32.227-08:002012-01-30T04:37:32.227-08:00I wish fast food places would put pictures up of t...I wish fast food places would put pictures up of the food while it's in the processing stage. What if someone was allergic to one of their ingredients that they 'took out'?

I don't know what it is, Miracle Whip always has a weird taste for me so I don't get it but I can see how when you're trying to eat healthier and they do something like that. :-/Nelliehttp://scribblingpencil.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
