This is how my husband and I felt yesterday when we had no electricity until after 8 a.m., and were so desperate, we got out the camping stove to set up outside for boiling water for instant. Thank GODS OF COFFEE the lights came back on!

I've posted this early last evening, just in case things go awry again.

Hopefully all is well with you guys!

  1. i hate when that happens, at least you had a cup of joe option... it's early and i am jonzing for a cup i can barely see.

    happy moonday day to you!

  2. I'm sorry to hear the weather is crazy again in the midwest. Sweetman has been stocking up on batteries and toilet paper. I've been stoking up on non-perishable foods. Looking to buy a bigger Brita container and filter for water. We're expecting a hurricane this year. Although we haven't heard of any named storms yet. They'll be named in May though. But Florida has been lucky for the last 7 years but this years weather was way too warm for us not to have one.

I'll keep in touch, of course.

  3. Yes, Jeremy at least the power kicked on for us. Hoping you weathered through the night, neighbor!

Shelly, let me know if they name one of them hurricanes Lorelei. They've never used my name. Maybe it would be a bad thing?

  4. Oh no, no power?! I hate it when that happens, and it happens a lot where i live. Thank goodness it came back on and you were able to make coffee! LOL! It's the little things. ;)

  5. Yes. It is the little things you don't even think of. Like automatically switching on a light and nothing happens!

Coffee tasted better than I remembered that morning!
